Sara Adler - writer and illustrator
I'm passionate about stories. I loved them when I was a child, and grew up getting lost books. My favorite artwork was the kind that told a story. Today, I tell my own stories and even get to draw the pictures too.

When I was in second grade I tried really hard to put my spelling words into sentences and then to make those sentences go together. As the last kid in the classroom I finally turned in my work, and my teacher laughed out loud. "Oh, Sara, you could be an author," she said. Until that moment I didn't know I really could do that. The idea was born and I never stopped pursuing it.

As I graduated from college with a degree in Art and Design, and concentration in Illustration, I set out to work in an office for a day job with health benefits. On the side I drew pet portraits in chalk and started creating Christmas cards. I am currently focusing on the stories I want so deeply to tell and in creating the art to go with them.

I live in the city of Glendale, just north of Milwaukee, WI. I live with my bird Beakers, a small flock of parakeets and finches, and my two guinea pigs Flash and Peanut.
